Core Values

Our core values define how we live out the mission, how we operate and make decisions.  

At Troy Assembly of God these core values guide every ministry, every decision and every relationship. 

Our Core Values are:   

 

1) Spirit Empowered 

We depend on the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, hosting a house of prayer, pursuing revival, worship and lives transformed by God’s presence.  We desire to be a Spirit filled church where God’s presence is welcomed and His gifts operate biblically.

2) Biblically Grounded 

Everything we believe, teach and practice is measured by God’s unchanging Word.  God’s Word is our final authority.  We are committed to teaching, obeying and applying Scripture in every area of life by strengthening marriages, equipping parents and helping every generation flourish according to God’s design.

3) Disciple Making 

We are committed to developing mature followers of Jesus who become servant leaders and disciple makers.  Our goal is not merely attendance but transformation.  Believers of every generation are called, gifted and equipped for ministry.

4) Authentic Community 

We value genuine relationships where people are loved, encouraged and cared for through fellowship, small groups and Christ-centered community.  Because every person is created in God’s image, every person deserves to be loved, valued and reached with the gospel.  We intentionally welcome people of every age, background and stage of life.

5) Compassionate Outreach 

We are called to serve our community and reach our world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Whether across the street or around the world, we are passionate to make Jesus known through compassionate service, evangelism and missions.  We gladly partner with ministries, missionaries and other believers to advance the gospel.

6) Integrity & Excellence 

We honor God by serving with humility, faithfulness, integrity and excellence in everything we do.
